The fan cooled propeller pump gear drive was pioneered by DE’RAN GEAR. Our fan cooled designs, and sprag non-reverse are the choice of pump system designers and engineers world wide.
Fan cooling eliminates corrosion, freezing and the added maintenance costs required to operate water cooled systems. The sprag non-reverse operates at all speeds, bathed in oil, eliminating the problems associated pin type non-reverses and slow vertical shaft speeds.
Propeller pump drives may be adapted to operate at inclined or slanted positions. This allows a more sensible approach to pumping water from lakes, rivers, and the ocean. The angle of slant may be designed to as much as 70 degrees from the standard vertical position.
All catalogue ratings include a minimum AGMA 1.5 service factor. Bearing L10 life will exceed 30,000 hours in all applications. Actual bearing life calculations are available on request for your specific application.
